A Mid Summer Training

Witness can testify that after just one hour of practice he was flipping, vaulting and catching discs. When Witness arrived he was a dizzy dummy, losing his plastic quarry as it flew through the air. A few rollers and short tosses later and “Wit” learned to keep his eyes on the prize.
Sure, Witness, recently rescued by Andrea is a prodigy but we like to think we helped. A 5yr old bordie collie who never seems to get tired, Witness was eager for instruction and play and so was his handler.
Once Witness started leaping for discs we wanted to give him a chance to flip out. His very first attempt was rock solid. A full flip. Just a few more attempts and we left Witness wanting more.
Vaulting was challenging as Witness seemed to be uncomfortable with the whole idea of jumping on someone. Once we let Witness know it was ok, within 15 minutes , after a few overs, he did his first back vault. A natural disc dog seems to have found the sport he loves.
Hopefully Andrea practices her disc throws so she can keep Witness flying high.
Sorry, we were so busy playing we took no pictures!
